#36 Rage Hell

Once upon a time there lived a happy little PTA president. She woke up with a smile each day to get her three children fed, clothed and off to school. With her hair curled, makeup perfect and latte in hand, she’d be off to teach yoga, run the book fairs, take kids to lessons and girl scouts, do laundry, make dinner, smile!, clean the house, help with homework, bake cookies, be nice to the in-laws, entertain friends, feed the dog, phew! Where was the busy super moms “me” time? As much as she loved her time at home and helping at the school, she felt like there was another side of her that was being neglected. The little princess was torn. How could she sustain her peaceful life while this bubbling pit in her stomach told her that there was excitement and adventure waiting to roll in to her life? Then one day while discussing what type of cupcakes to serve at the next PTA meeting, there began a rumbling deep in her belly. The vacant smiles of the desperate housewives finally got to her. The rumbling grew and grew. The PTA president began to sweat, her blood began to boil, she got hotter and hotter until she burst into flames. Fire shot from her ears, fingers and the top of her head! Then, from her feet burst roller skates of fire! Sweater wearing Rachael the soccer mom had become “Rage Hell”. Gone were the endless fundraisers and bake sales.

Now, the only thing that can simmer the fires of Rage Hell are peace signs (that remind her of the peace she feels while spending time with her children), music (she loves to “rage” on the dance floor!) and roller derby.
