That's right derby fans, the Fairbanks Rollergirls are gearing up for their 2010-11 bout season! The uber-athletes of FBXRG have been training all summer (in between doing community service and generally being `good' girls in the off-season) to get ready for what promises to be our hardest hitting season yet.  We are now a WFTDA Apprentice League attempting two bouts against other WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) ranked leagues.  This season, the Fairbanks Rollergirls are bringing new competitors up to the Interior from leagues all over the country, as well as a re-match bout between last year's newly formed home teams, the Raven Rebels and the Gold Diggers.  In addition to the two returning teams of FBXRG, the league is looking to unveil its Junior Derby league this season which opens the door for girls under the age of 21 who want to learn to play roller derby.  Only at the Carlson Center can you experience some of the best live sportsmanship in Fairbanks and we're counting on our loyal fans to help cheer on FBXRG this season.   Come check out our new merchandise and a few new skaters as well as the familiar favorites!
